Processing my mom's petition on my own is not hard as i thought it would be. I remember the days when i was little that my mom and i will go to manila every now and then to update my papers, ssn, passport and i would think do i have to do this by myself when im older? From window to window, long lines waking up early to travel to manila. We did it for like every 3-6 years at least. I would always complain about it but the only advantage is i don't have to go to school that day and i get to have breakfast at mcdonalds lol
Now that im older and i have to do things on my own, i always push myself. If other people can do it i can do it. Same with my taxes. I do my taxes myself and this year i did 5 taxes. I guess i did it right coz we all got our money back.
Thank God for internet that I am able to research and figure out how to process all this paper work. I guess you just have to be really patient and follow instructions carefully so that you're not going to mess it up and make the process longer.
I know this is just the beginning coz the processing here in the US always goes smoothly if u follow step by step by mail or phone but the other side will be really tough, coz you have to be physically there. I hope the system in the US embassy back home is much better now and hopefully everything will go well and hassle free. Pretty soon picking up my mom and 1 of my goals in life will be accomplished.
